Elena Marchetti is a Research Fellow at the ELDR Institute Center for Enterprise Documentation, contributing research on API documentation standards, OpenAPI specification architecture, and the developer experience documentation systems that enterprise API programs require to achieve adoption at scale.

Marchetti's practitioner background includes API documentation programs at cloud-scale SaaS platforms and enterprise technology companies — specifically the documentation architecture decisions that determine whether developer portals drive adoption or generate support overhead. Her experience spans OpenAPI specification governance, SDK documentation methodology, changelog standards, and the docs-as-code pipeline architectures that keep API documentation current with engineering release cycles.

At the Institute, Marchetti leads the Enterprise API Documentation Architecture research program — synthesizing practitioner experience into structured standards that API program leads can implement without discovering documentation architecture requirements through expensive trial and error.
