ELDR Consulting

Business Intelligence Analyst

Design and implement business intelligence solutions that give institutional clients the data visibility needed to manage risk, demonstrate governance, and make informed strategic decisions.

Level: Mid-Senior (5–10 Years) Type: Full-Time · Hybrid Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

About the Role

ELDR Consulting helps regulated institutions not just operate better but demonstrate that they do — and data visibility is fundamental to that. The Business Intelligence Analyst designs, builds, and governs BI and analytics solutions for clients who need to manage regulatory reporting, operational dashboards, risk indicators, and governance metrics. You will work at the intersection of data architecture, analytical tool implementation, and governance — with a particular eye on the regulatory and audit defensibility requirements that shape how financial services, healthcare, and public sector clients must manage their data.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement BI and analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms for regulatory reporting, risk dashboards, and operational intelligence
  • Develop data models, semantic layers, and reporting architectures aligned with client governance and audit requirements
  • Conduct data quality assessments and implement data governance controls to ensure reporting integrity
  • Work with client data teams, IT, and risk functions to define KPIs, metrics, and data lineage documentation
  • Produce data governance documentation — data dictionaries, metadata catalogues, lineage maps, and reporting specifications
  • Support clients navigating regulatory data reporting requirements — BCBS 239, GDPR, SOX data controls, OSFI E-21
  • Contribute to internal ELDR data infrastructure and reporting capability development

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data governance in a regulated environment
  • Proficiency in BI tools: Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or Qlik
  • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Experience implementing or governing data pipelines in financial services, healthcare, or regulated enterprise environments
  • Understanding of data governance principles and regulatory data requirements — BCBS 239, GDPR, SOX
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud data platforms: Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Databricks
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance platforms: Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience delivering BI solutions to institutional clients

What We Offer

  • Client-facing analytical delivery role with broad exposure to regulated enterprise data environments
  • Collaborative team with deep governance and technology expertise
  • Toronto hybrid with potential client travel
  • Platform training and certification support
