ELDR Consulting

Business Analyst I

An entry-level analytical and delivery support role for motivated graduates ready to build a rigorous foundation in enterprise consulting across governance, technology, and regulated industries.

Level: Junior (0–2 Years) Type: Full-Time · Hybrid Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

About the Role

Business Analyst I is ELDR Consulting's entry point for analytically strong graduates and early-career professionals who want to build real consulting capability — not just exposure. You will contribute directly to client engagements under the guidance of senior consultants and delivery leads, developing skills in requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, process documentation, and governance deliverable production. This role is structured to develop you quickly: within two years, you should be ready for the Business Analyst II role with demonstrable client delivery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior consultants on client engagements — conducting research, preparing analysis, documenting requirements, and tracking deliverables
  • Facilitate and document stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions
  • Produce process maps, requirements documentation, and business analysis artefacts using structured methodologies
  • Maintain project management materials — action logs, RAID registers, status trackers, and meeting records
  • Conduct regulatory and market research to support Advisory and Consulting engagements
  • Assist in the production of client presentations, reports, and deliverable documents to professional standard
  • Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities on technology and governance projects

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; recent graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply
  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, information systems, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills — the ability to structure information clearly is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite — particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Demonstrable intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in regulated industries, governance, or enterprise technology
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented professional environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in a consulting, financial services, or technology organisation
  • Exposure to Agile project environments — Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Foundational knowledge of any major governance framework — NIST, ISO, SOX, or ITIL
  • Graduate or co-op coursework in data analysis, business process design, or information systems

What We Offer

  • Structured development programme with mentorship from senior practitioners
  • Real client deliverable responsibility from your first engagement
  • Clear 24-month pathway to Business Analyst II
  • Toronto hybrid with a collaborative, high-performance team environment
